Sleaford: Family Workshop: Statement Shoes!

Tuesday 1st August 2017, 10.00am, The National Centre for Craft and Design

Something a little different for the summer holidays, children and families are invited to make ‘awesome apparel’ at The National Centre for Craft and Design in Sleaford! There’s also an opportunity for children to complete their Discover and Explore Arts Award during these activities. The Centre has automatic entrances and a lift to all floors of the building.

Windsor: BSL tour: Windsor Castle Precincts

If you’re going to be in Windsor this month, Deaf presenter John Wilson will be leading a tour of the precincts of Windsor Castle in BSL. You’ll learn about how William the Conqueror founded the castle and its history up to the present day. A voiceover of the tour will also be provided.

London: Saturday Talks: Rebecca Lewin on Grayson Perry

The marvellous Serpentine Galleries will be holding a BSL-Interpreted talk with curator Rebecca Lewin and interpreter Julie Hornsby. The talk covers the exhibition ‘Grayson Perry: The Most Popular Art Exhibition Ever!’. Grayson Perry’s new work touches upon the themes of popularity and art, masculinity and the current cultural landscape.

London: BSL Interpreted tour: Clarence House

Steven Hudson provides BSL-Interpretation of a ground-floor tour of Clarence House this month. Clarence House is the home of The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall and was built between 1825 and 1827.

Norwich: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time – Captioned

Thursday 31st August 2017, 2.30pm, Norwich Theatre Royal

Based on Mark Haddon’s award-winning novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time will be captioned at Norwich Theatre Royal at the end of this month! The smash-hit has sold out in London’s West End and is highly anticipated by audiences awaiting its new tour. The story tells of Christopher, a 15-year-old with an extraordinary mind.
