Accessible cafe and terrace by the river

4.5

Visit date:

This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Powerchair

Overview

The cafe is on the ground floor of the Tate Britain, which has excellent access. At the main side entrance, there are wide automatic doors. The cafe is on ground level (there is an excellent wide lift to take you up to the upper levels of the gallery). Also very easy to go out to the terrace, which is lovely on a warm day.

Transport & Parking

3.5

Not sure as we came as pedestrians.

Access

4.5

Access is very easy, including to the outdoor terrace, where there are more tables. Its a self service cafe and the middle island unit is lowered, which is helpful.

Toilets

5

There are 2 large accessible toilets in the gallery on the ground floor.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Has a great selection of tea and cake! Open until 6pm.
