Overview

The Beamsley Project houses many groups for conferences, training and retreats, with school trips, families holidays and parties, care group accommodation, religious and spiritual getaways and business team building weekends being just some of the things they have previously catered for. Beamsley offers accommodation, self-catering facilities, plenty of car parking and open space, both in and outdoors, for any kind of event.

Access

5

There are two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Both bedrooms have four beds with own bedside tables and wardrobes. Bedroom 7 houses a step-in shower that would not be particularly accessible for those with a reduced mobility. Bedroom 8, however, is much more accessible, with a roll-in shower and several grab rails. There is a visitor’s cupboard between bedrooms 7 and 8, stocking plastic aprons, rubber gloves, a lockable medicine cabinet, hairdryers, alarms, toilet rolls, towels, cleaning materials and extra bedding.

All five washrooms on the ground floor, although slightly outdated in terms of aesthetic design, boast grab rails, bins, mirrors, alarm cords, shower chairs in the shower rooms, and a ceiling hoist and wash and dry toilet in the bathroom. There is also a low bath in this room with a shower and adjustable changing table. Currently, the taps are all of the swing lever variety, whilst the locking mechanisms are small and circular, requiring a strong, clockwise hand motion to operate them. Upstairs in the Beamsley Project, there is one further toilet with the same facilities as those downstairs. There are also two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

The truly stunning feature of the Beamsley Project is the huge hall that greets you as you get to the top of the stairs (which are gated for safety), or the elevator doors open at the first floor. With an automatic door leading into the hall and gorgeous beams on the ceiling, the Beamsley Project has really hit the ‘happy medium’ between accessible function and aesthetics with this room. There is a pool table, table tennis, a television, toys, games, books and a stereo in this huge space, along with various styles of chair (all of which are waterproof.) For event and party use, there is also a microphone and amp set, and a hearing loop system.
