Singaround Sunday

Singaround Sunday article image

Hetton Band Hall in The 1900s Pit Village of Beamish Museum will be resonating to the sound of banjos, mandolins, squeeze boxes and voices in harmony during this Singaround Sunday. Folk singers and musicians from across the North East will be volunteering their time and music to for Singaround Sunday.

Musicians gather around Hetton Band Hall from 11.30am onwards and entertain visitors to a wide selection of folk music. From humorous songs to chorus songs, mining songs to dance tunes… there’s something to get everyone’s feet tapping and often a chance to join in with the choruses as well!

Why not pop down to The 1900s Pit Village to enjoy this special musical treat? Whether you fancy a sing along all afternoon or would like to call in to enjoy a song or two, you are welcome to enjoy this unique spectacular for as long as you like – with no extra charge!

As with all daytime events, you can use your Unlimited Pass or Friends of Beamish membership to enjoy this special event.
