Overview
This is one of Maplin's smaller branches and it's nearly fully wheelchair-accessible, but the aisles are very narrow.
Transport & Parking
Lots of buses go past on Edgware Road but there are no step-free stations nearby. I wouldn't dream of parking in this area.
Access
A step-free entrance to the shop, and the aisles are very narrow indeed. Once you've committed to going down an aisle you have to keep going or back out - don't even think about turning round. Some parts of the shop are too tight to get a wheelchair through, but if you take detours you can get to every display shelf. Half a star lost for these tight difficulties.
Toilets
Maplin branches don't have toilets so a zero rating here is a neutral comment, not a negative comment.
Staff
As is normal with Maplin, the staff were really friendly and helpful, five stars well-deserved. The young man who helped me was willing to fetch from the store-room any number of items not displayed on shelves, nothing was too much trouble for him - what a sweetie.
