Venue Description

Murton Farm, Tearoom and Nature Reserve is set in 100 acres of Angus countryside on the outskirts of Forfar. Our nature reserve has an abundance of wildlife and fauna for everyone to explore and enjoy. The visitor farm has play equipment and plenty of open space while being surrounded by our friendly animals paddocks and pens to visit. Why not visit our tearoom for a light lunch or a cake and a coffee. There is always the option of takeaway or you are welcome to bring your own to our picnic area.

Accessibility

Tearoom: Entrance to tearoom is level path and decking. The door is wide enough for a wheelchair. Two accessible toilets. Large print menu available. Picnic area has inclusive benches and some have back rests. Outdoor hand wash facilities are at two heights. Nature Reserve: Around half of the nature reserve path network is wheelchair accessible along with all three of the bird hides. There is an inclusive viewing area and picnic spot on the nature reserve. Visitor Farm: Murton Farm is built on a former quarry and it does have hills. We have well maintained cut grass paths though when the weather has been wet, it can be soft underfoot. We have in the past had visitors use electric wheelchairs on the farm however we do not recommend this unless it has been very dry and visitors are comfortable to do so.

We have one inside our tearoom and we have one which is at our tearoom building but is accessed from the outdoors.
