Overview

Potter About cafe is a regular of mine. It's fully accessible with plenty of room to manoeuvre inside. There's an accessible toilet situated at the back. Aside from it's accessibility, the cafe itself is pretty good. Great food with a large choice of home made cakes. Probably the best place to grab lunch in the town. There's also a ceramics painting station, as well as a kids play area.

Transport & Parking

4.5

It's situated on the high street, which has a couple of disabled parking bays, one of which is very close to the front door. It can get quite busy at times, so parking close can occasionally be difficult. There is a large car park with more disabled bays a short walk from the cafe, but it's down a hill that some users may find challenging.

Access

5

Ground floor with no steps, bumps or ramps. You can just wheel right in off the street. The tables are all easily accessible, aside from a couple of sofas that are up a step by the window. The staff will happily remove chairs should you need table space for a wheelchair.

Toilets

4.5

Clean and spacious with a grab rail on one side. The door can be a little stiff as it catches on the floor, but it's not ridiculous and would only cause problems for those with limited mobility. The staff are very friendly though, so they'd be more than happy to help if you found it difficult.

Staff

5

Cheerful and friendly. The staff are nice and very accommodating to those with disabilities. There are a few regular customers with disabilities (myself included), so they're no strangers to it.
