Quiet walk in the forrest
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Walking Aid, Wheelchair, Powerchair, Mobility Scooter
Overview
A lovely quiet walk for less than hour even if you do the loop in both directions. Spacious enough to allow 2 to walk side by side. Mostly flat. The walk is definitely 5 stars but there are no toilets and the car park is busy at weekends, and without marked spaces could make access more difficult.
Transport & Parking
Need a car to get here and then there is a gravelled parking area which was busy at the weekend but very quiet on the week day I visited. No spaces are marked so you can park away from others as though in a blue badge space. There is an information board which shows the disabled access walk information and map.
Access
Spacious fine gravel path, mostly flat and no steep inclines especially if you do the loop clockwise. Marker posts with white rings at regular intervals to show the way.
Toilets
No toilets. I guess closest may be in the village or Elgin.
Staff
No staff. It is forestry commission owned so could possibly contact them.
