Overview

I was planning a visit for a wheelchair user client. I checked the place for accessibility and asked staff some questions as well. I was lucky to meet a wheelchair user and had a chat about wheelchair access and the shopping experience.

Transport & Parking

There is free disabled parking bays at two of the three parking floors with easy access to the shops. There are 16 Blue Badge parking spaces on parking level 1 and 26 Blue Badge parking spaces on parking level 2. There is also close public transport (trains, buses, taxis)

Access

There is a reception desk with a lowered section. There is also a hearing assistance system. The wheelchair access areas are signposted with lifts to move between the floors

Toilets

Disabled toilets available, well labelled, ample space for wheel chair users with support bars. There is tactile and pictorial signage on or near the toilet doors

Staff

Staffs were very friendly and offered to help if needed. Staff are said to have done disability awareness and equality training
