Overview

A steepish push up Little King Street and a fairly heavy swing door are the only obstacles. On our way in a kind customer held ithe door open for us. Exiting was easy with the accompanist opening the door.

Transport & Parking

Can't comment on the parking. Plenty of buses stop nearby in Leith Street and York Place, and the cafe is near the York Place tram terminus.

Access

See comments above. Once inside everything is on one level, and the tables are well spaced out. There is level internal access to the disabled toilet and the communicating door between the cafe and the toilet area was helpfully open. There's also level internal access (through two doors) to the Cathedral, which is an interesing building.

Toilets

Kept locked - the key is available on the counter, attached to a purple whisk, so you can't miss it. There's an alarm cord and a grab rail beside the lavatory. Misses out on five stars only because there is no grab rail by the wash hand basin and the room is quite small so manoeuvering might present problems.

Staff

Super people - friendly and very helpful. One member of staff helped my wife to transfer from her wheelchair to a cafe seat while I went to order food and coffees.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

They do a very good Americano and the homebakes were excellent. There are breakfast and lunch options, and the prices are reasonable.
