Overview

I got some takeaway vegan cinnamon buns from here. Would highly recommend it. Staff were really friendly and we all agreed the buns were very tasty.

Transport & Parking

I walked here but there are bus stops nearby. The number 3, 7, 8, 29, 31, 37, 47, 49 and 300 Lothian buses all stop here and the Borders Buses X62 and X70 go past here as well. There is some parking nearby in front of the Pizza Hut. This is pay and display with a maximum stay of 1 hour. There is no parking between 7:30 - 9:30 and 4:00 - 6:30 so that it can be used as a bus lane.

Access

The door was open when I visited and it just had a small lip and no step which made it easy to enter. The food is displayed at a good height that most people should be able to see and the staff are there to take your order. This is a very small shop so there are only a few seats which are all bar stools by the shop window, which is why I marked the disabled access down slightly. But it is great for a takeaway and positioned between Holyrood Park and the Meadows so you could take a stroll to one of those if you can hold off eating the food before you get there! There are gluten free and vegan options.

Really can't fault the staff. Super friendly, I'll definitely visit again.

There were only two other people there (including staff) so we could keep a safe distance apart. I ordered near the door and only came to the till to pay. They have a card machine positioned so that it is easy to pay contactless and there was antibacterial gel next to the card machine. I didn't need to touch anything apart from the takeaway box with the cinnamon buns in it.
