Overview
From the moment we walked into the Abbey Guest House we were made to feel very special and most welcome . The owner Terry ensured that we had everything we needed and has thought very carefully about all the wonderful facilities . There is a lift to the first floor where we stayed in a spacious family room with accessible ensuite shower , lots of comfortable furniture and goodies and even a reclining bed.Breakfast is delicious especially the locally sourced bacon, eggs , sausage and homemade preserves . Terry provides very useful advice e.g. Where to fine disabled parking spaces in the busy city of Oxford and also where to eat in the local area . We were able to enjoy a few hours of sunshine in the fully accessible garden too . We will be back !
Transport & Parking
Disabled off road parking right outside the front door specially reserved
Access
Lift, accessible entrance front and also to back garden , pictures available with menu , Braille signs around ,lots of room in the family room ,laminate floors in communal areas , wet room , all fabulous

Lots of space in ensuite wet room and movable basin plus handles and rails well positioned
Staff
Very friendly and helpful . Treated the disabled person in our family as an individual . Lots of useful tips and advice about amenities in local area .
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Highly recommended for a family stay . The accessible family bedroom would actually sleep 6 although there were only 3 in our party !
