Weird but breathtaking

4.5

Overview

Came across this by accident and had to visit. We went on a cold day in January and although it was sunny it was really cold. Make sure you’re prepared as a lot of it is outside. All the outside areas are dog friendly and the path is smooth. You can hire a golf buggy to get around if you visit in the right season … we didn’t. Managed to see about half in a self propelling wheelchair.

Transport & Parking

5

Loads of parking. Some disabled bays.

Access

4.5

Overall very accessible. The indoor areas are rather narrow but the sculpture trail around the fields has a smooth track. The cafe is accessible but is not dog friendly. Their portions are huge.

Toilets

4.5

Very good accessible toilets. My only criticism would be the red pull cord is far too short. Other than that it was fine.

Staff

4

Staff seemed confused about the ability to hire a golf buggy. I was told I couldn’t cos of the weather and cos it’s out of season. But I was asking on a dry sunny day. The cafe staff were brilliant. My assistance dog was vested and no questions were asked about us being indoors.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

There is a slightly out of place political undertone to the attraction talking about saving the animals but also the number of deaths in Gaza and things. It was easy enough to ignore but definitely there. Like the Star Wars sign was graffitied today Stop Wars.
