Overview

City Quay sounded great on paper but sadly time seems to have taken its toll. Once a bustling hub of shops it has become an array of offices and cafes. There is a handy cycle shop, a Chinese restaurant and a pizza takeaway, amongst the other outlets. That said, it was a nice walk across the harbour basin, particularly seeing the water-sports going on, and around the buildings. Part of the complex is built on piers and the other is the old railway sidings and warehouse style buildings. It was fairly wheelchair friendly and easy to wheel around. A couple of steel ramps help to cross the old railway track.
