Overview

Doon the Beach. An excellent venue. Dog friendly. Wheelchair accessible. Accessible Toilets. As a mobility scooter user, i can confirm that access is easy for everyone. Various diets catered for. Food is all freshly cooked and very tasty. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Seating available indoors and outside. A great place to head for a coffee or a bite to eat after walking the dog or even just out walking. Being a community cafe prices are very good and the conversations flow with other visitors. Definitely 5 * from me.

Transport & Parking

There is parking outside the cafe or there are bigger car parks just seconds away closer to the beach. I use a mobility scooter and frequently end up there after walking through the park. Although the beach is not accessible to me it looks very clean and I frequently see dogs being exercised on the beach and in the sea.

Access

There are steps from the carpark to the cafe but there is also a ramp for wheelchair/scooter users. No problem with access. Doors open wide if needed. Staff always eager to help if needed.

Toilets

There is an accessible toilet, but I only live round the corner so haven't actually used it. It is clearly sign posted and easily accessible.

Staff

Staff ALWAYS helpful and polite. Service is great. You need anything don't be afraid to ask.

No covid restrictions in place anymore. But if you need space away from others it is there for you. I visit frequently and would definitely recommend.
