Overview
There is full wheelchair access throughout the museum with two lifts and three/four disabled toilets.
Transport & Parking
There are a limited number of disabled and regular parking bays but there is a multi-storey car park close-by between Eldon Square Bus Station and Haymarket Bus Station. Both bus stations have a regular service.
Access
Full wheelchair access throughout the museum with two lifts which can hold up to four/five wheelchairs at once depending upon the size. There are three access points into the museum; via the street cafe, a side-ramp by the entrance, and a platform lift by the entrance.
Toilets
The are plenty of accessible toilets on both the ground and first floor of the museum with powered doors and automatic taps in addition to plenty of space for a wheelchair.
Staff
Staff are friendly and more than happy to help, e.g.: - In both cafe's the staff are happy to carry food and drink to the table. - In the Cowen Library on the Second Floor the staff are more than happy to help with finding books or lifting them off the shelves.
