The Our Stories museum art group grew out of a desire to create an inclusive group at the heart of the community that was led by its members. Each of whom were interested in exploring their identity through art making; therefore challenging previous notions and expectations of disabled people. It allowed the members to meet the community as citizens and since then group have spontaneously welcomed other visitors of all generations.
Visit the exhibition between 1.30-3.30pm on Disabled Access Day and meet the artists.
The group’s work will be on display at Hackney Museum from Disabled Access Day on 11th March until 20th May 2017.
