Overview
A small park with good paths which is well maintained and close to Derwent Water.
Transport & Parking
A large car park which is well maintained. Disabled spaces are on the slope adjacent to the Theatre on the Lake, but it is easy to find and end car parking space.
Access
If driving there is a small access road to cross to access the park, or if staying in town a short walk.
Toilets
I have only used the disabled toilet in the theatre which is adequate.
Staff
The odd gardener is happy to talk about the park.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Hope Park is small, beautiful and remarkably peaceful. Surrounded by mountains and a field with grazing sheep which leads down a hardcore path to Derwent Water. Watch out for the duck poo if you leave the park to take the adjacent path. Worth the experience.
