Transport & Parking

As this venue is in the city centre there is no allocated parking, however, it is located directly opposite multiple bus stops to provide access from various areas of York and further afield (eg. Hull). There are ample dropped curbs to allow safe crossing from these bus stops.

Access

There are wide automatic doors to enter the premises, however, these are angled to prevent a draught which could make it slightly tricky for a larger wheelchair. Although signage was minimal there have always been plenty of staff on hand to answer questions and on one occasion we called in to check toilets etc to ensure it was a suitable location for future visits and staff were happy to show us around and where everything was so we were prepared and confident for our first proper visit.

Toilets

The accessible toilet was slightly hidden from the main restaurant area, but visible from the entrance doors and staff were more than willing to take us directly once we asked for directions. There was more than enough space for both the wheelchair user and myself, the sink was accessible to both of us. It was very clean and as a brand new renovation was finished to a high standard.

Staff

Having called in for a coffee on multiple occasions I have found all staff to be pleasant and helpful. There was no issues carrying our orders to the table for us and we were remembered by name from our first visit, always made to feel very welcome and as we pass it regularly often get a hello/wave from staff as we do.

I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone from our multiple visits. Staff are very friendly, will do anything to help and go out of their way to ensure an enjoyable experience.
