Overview

Hadn't been to the Botanics for such a long time... Had totally forgotten what a calm and quiet oasis they are! We went for a learning event in the Cottage which I had never been to before, very impressed with the set up.

Transport & Parking

We. got dropped off at the Arboretum Road entrance where there is on street parking and easy access to the main entrance.

Access

Great paths throughout the gardens themselves. Well signposted too and we found our way to the Cottage easily. The cottage had large 'patio' doors making the space inside light and bright. We then went to the vegetable beds and were able to get around easily... And I LOVED the wild flowers too. We left via the main entrance and had a good browse around in the shop on the way out - lots of plants and much more on offer.... They had some Christmas decorations and inspiration too!

All the staff we met were very friendly and knowledgeable - you can tell that they love the plants, flowers and trees that they work with!
