Overview

Traverse is fab - from booking our tickets to visiting the venue last night everything worked brilliantly. The theatre and bar area are downstairs but there is a spacious lift that managed to fit all 6 of us in! Staff super helpful when booking tickets - not phased at all about access requirements. When we arrived we spoke to the folk organising the queue and they told us where to wait and then we were collected and taken into the auditorium and to our seats. The venue is free seating but they had reserved us seats so the whole party could sit together. I love the Traverse anyway - but this was the first time that I had gone to a show with my pal who uses a powerchair - and it was seamless!

Transport & Parking

Easy to get there on public transport - the Traverse is just off lothian road. There are also several parking bays nearby.

I didn't check it out but my pal was suprised that it wasn't a bit bigger. The door also opens inwards so there wasn't too much space.

Staff

Brilliant. Everyone that we encountered from the box office staff to the people directing us to our seats were all knowledgeable and helpful. Totally unphased by a patron with access requirements.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

We went to see the absolutely brilliant What Girls are Made Of... An absolutely brilliant show - you should go if you get a chance!
