Print off directions if going to North Cliffs Car Park
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Walking Aid, Wheelchair
This is a large country park with 3 car parks quite far apart and accessible routes from 2 of them. We didn't manage to find North Cliffs car park.
Transport & Parking
Free parking at all 3 car parks. We went to South Drive Car Park on our first visit, there are only 2 blue badge spaces and we took the second one when we arrived at 4.45pm when it was fairly quiet. On our second visit, when we were trying to find North Cliffs car park, it was much busier and Mum found the long , narrow road from the entrance to the car park to be narrower than she was comfortable with and at one point we got stuck. Even with directions from the visitors centre we couldn't find North Cliffs car park. The direction signs don't specify which car park they're sending you to.
We did the half mile purple route. The paths were wide in most places, there were one or two spots that were single file for a wheelchair user. The path wasn't difficult to push Dad's wheelchair over but it was bumpy.
The toilets were closed on our first visit (date shown) , they must have classed this as winter opening when they close at 4 and we didn't need them on our second visit. There is an accessible toilet.
The person in the visitors centre didn't give very good directions, it might have been better if she'd written them down.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
They should put clear directions to North Cliffs car park on their leaflets. Also, the website just gives summer and winter opening times and doesn't state dates that those opening times cover which is confusing.
