The Point

The Point in Doncaster boasts a large, light-filled contemporary gallery space with a regularly changing exhibition programme. Entry to the gallery is always free because we want to share the art on show to as many people as possible. The Point regularly hosts a range of creative workshops for all including adults and children with disabilities. Our cafe serves a range of home cooked lunches and cakes. We also have a pretty gallery garden and walled courtyard for visitors to enjoy. The Point is a fully accessible building with a Changing Place facility with hoist, adjustable toilet, sink and full sized changing bed. Staff are Makaton trained and we are a Makaton Friendly Venue.

Absolutely Fantastic and So Inclusive!
The venue is on multiple levels, with lifts available to all areas.
Seating is available at regular intervals.
There is step-free access at the main entrance or an alternative entrance.
There is at least one wheelchair-accessible food and beverage outlet on site.
There is an accessible bus station or stop nearby with suitable boarding areas and facilities for disabled passengers.
There is an accessible train station nearby with suitable facilities and assistance available for disabled passengers.
There is a Changing Places toilet, which includes an adult-size changing bench, toilet, sink and hoist.
A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
Information is available in large print format.
BSL interpretation is available.
There is an assistive listening system available e.g. a hearing loop.
A designated quiet space or room is available.
An evacuation chair is available in case of emergency.
Wi-Fi is available for customers.
A selection of food is offered for a range of dietary requirements.
