Your Carriage awaits

The Royal Mews situated next to Buckingham Palace is a little museum which stores and explains a bit about the carriages and cars used by the royal family on state occasions. There is lots to see in such a small area and is very interesting. There is a small gift shop and there is a good sized accessible toilet.

Pageantry galore!

Great venue to visit - we nearly went right past it on way to Queen's Gallery - so pleased we stopped and went in!! You can see all the carriages from years gone by and it's also a working stables. Easy to use Audio Guide. Level access throughout - we could visit and see and do all bits of this venue.

Disabled Access at The Royal Mews - Buckingham Palace

The Royal Mews is accessible and we welcome visitors with different access requirements. Most of the site is outside, with some cover. The flooring is cobbled and uneven in places. Accessible lavatories are located half way round the visitor route. A Changing space - a slightly smaller version of a changing place - is available.
