Venue Description
Joe Cornish is regraded as one of the world's foremost landscape photographers and his Northallerton Gallery houses a permanent exhibition of his work. The gallery is set over two floors but unfortunately there is only wheelchair access to the ground floor. However the ground floor houses Joe's work, our visiting exhibitions, the cafe and courtyard, spacious disabled access toilet, a snug area and our shop selling design-led gifts. The cafe caters for food allergies on request and regularly has gluten free cakes on offer.
Accessibility
Entrance is on the flat, off the pavement through two push doors. The front door is slightly smaller than the second but still wide enough to accomodate a wheelchair. On entering the building the cafe is immediately on your left and the spacious disabled access toilet is on your right. The ground floor including the courtyard is all at the same level.
Toilets
The toilets are spacious and centrally located on your right hand side as you enter the building.
Staff
While the staff do not have any accessibility training we frequently receive customers with disabilities and always endeavour to be as accommodating and helpful as possible.
Assistance dog facilities
Other assistance dog facilities
We are a dog friendly venue having our own gallery dog 'Kyra' and many regular dog visitors. We have a courtyard and the facility to clean up should a dog need any toilet facilities.
