Accommodating from one to six guests, apartments come in a gamut of shapes and sizes, from uniquely configured Grand Studios, to the jaw-dropping, three-bedroom, rooftop Penthouse with its staggering 360o panoramic view. Authentic features, including original dark wood paneling, fireplaces, brass door handles and decorative cornicing have been given a serious makeover and seamlessly incorporate with new design, enhancing unbelievably beautiful spaces with unique historical merit. As the city’s hottest new social hub, The Edinburgh Grand also has the renowned steak restaurant, Hawksmoor, along with The Register Club and Lady Libertine, our sleek new bars and coffeehouses making it the upscale hangout to meet and eat!

The Edinburgh Grand welcomes people with disabilities and has developed the Access Statement to address some of the more common issues that disabled people face. Recognition has been given to include guests with an impairment, which could include: Mobility, Sight, Hearing, Learning Disabilities or any hidden impairment. The Edinburgh Grand aims to ensure that all employees, guests and others who use the facilities are treated equally and according to their needs. We can provide facilities in the apartments for Guide Dogs, Assistance Dogs and Support Dogs. The apartment’s main entrance and drop off point are on St Andrew Square. The entrance has security doors operated by your security access code which you would have received in advance. On entering the main entrance the concierge desk is to your right. The flooring throughout the reception area is tiled. Please ask concierge for assistance if required. The lifts have audible enunciation and tactile buttons at normal height. There is a mirror at the back of each lift at 80cm-180 cm. Lifts serve the ground floor and floors 1-7. Accessible apartments are located on the second and third floors of the building. An accessible toilet is located on the -1st floor and 4th floor of the building; level access is via the lift. It is fitted with grab rails and an alarm and flooring in the toilet is provided with non-slip ceramic tile. Transfer space of 120cm one side of the bed. Twin or double bed combinations available. Furniture can be easily removed or rearranged in the room if requested. A sofa bed for use by a personal assistant/carer or friend/family member is available in apartments that do not have an adjoining room. Please note there are hoists available in our bathrooms. Visual and audible indication of a fire alarm by a red light visible form all parts of the apartments, and a loud fire alarm. Flooring throughout the apartment is wooden with some additional carpets. Heating is fully controllable in the apartment, and additional heaters or fans are available from concierge. All bedding is hypo-allergenic - feather pillows are available on request. Bowls and beds can be provided for assistance dogs, as well as blankets and doggie bags for outside! All bedrooms are non-smoking. A vibrating alarm pad is soon to be available on request. All TV’s provide subtitles.
