About Us
We’re Euan’s Guide, the award-winning disabled access review charity making it easier for disabled people to find places to go. At the heart of the charity is our disabled access review website - www.euansguide.com - where disabled people and their friends, families and carers can find and share disabled access information. We also make tens of thousands of accessible toilets safer and run the UK’s largest and longest running Access Survey.
We have ambitious plans to grow and have secured funding for an exciting new project for which we are looking for a Review Coordinator(s).
The Role
A Review Coordinator is responsible for visiting locations around the UK and sharing their experiences of disabled access on EuansGuide.com.
Locations, venues and businesses to be visited will be those that can enable our community to travel with confidence so will focus on transport hubs and surrounding facilities such as toilets, places to eat and drink and other everyday essentials.
You will have a passion for UK travel and should expect to spend a significant portion of your time exploring new locations particularly around UK transport hubs.
You will report to the Travelling with Confidence Community Manager and work closely with other members of the Euan’s Guide team.
We are an ambitious charity, passionate about making the world accessible to all disabled people. We have a strong focus on technology so Euan’s Guide is often in a unique position of having the advantages and challenges of both a tech start up and a charity… there is no ‘typical day’!
What you’ll be responsible for:
Generating Disabled Access Information
- Visiting and sharing your experiences of disabled access at locations around the UK on EuansGuide.com
- Community Mapping - Researching and identifying disabled access information gaps and planning how to fill them
Your day-to-day will focus on visiting places and documenting your disabled access experiences but you will also support the Community Manager with:
Community Outreach and Engagement
- Researching people and organisations to work with in geographical locations and virtual communities
- Charity and stakeholder engagement including in-person and virtual events
- Volunteer engagement and communication through in person and virtual channels
- Representing Euan’s Guide at partner events and contributing content for partner publications and communications
- Contributing to project materials including volunteer resources and marketing materials
Project Resources
- Involvement in producing organisation and volunteer resources such as handbooks, welcome kits and digital content
- Involvement in producing marketing and promotional materials
- Involvement in for ensuring materials are available in accessible formats
Project Management
- Involvement in project Quarterly Catch Ups
Desirable skills:
- High levels of organisation, motivation and resourcefulness with the ability to think creatively and find solutions to opportunities and challenges
- Great communication skills, including producing content in various formats for online audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence others.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and to recognise and act on opportunities
- Sharing your interest in disabled access, inclusion and equality
Desirable experience:
- Experienced explorer who is used to visiting new places and meeting new people
- Reviewer, blogger or writer who has content published on the internet or other publications.
- Managing relationships with a diverse range of stakeholder groups, including volunteers, funders, charities, commercial organisations and other partners
- Personal lived experience of disability
Additional Information:
- This is a new role, and we have funding for the equivalent of one full-time position but would consider two part-time roles if there were two suitable applicants.
- We would like the role to start in May 2025 however we can be flexible and will discuss this with suitable candidates.
- This is a two year role, with a full-time salary of £26,000 – £28,000 per year, plus National Insurance and pension contributions. If the role is part-time or a job share, the salary will be pro rata.
- This is a two year role made possible by external funding
- Flexibility is important to us at Euan's Guide. Talk to us if the standard 9-5 doesn't work for you and we can discuss other ways we're flexible.
- We're based in Edinburgh, but that doesn't mean you have to be! Wherever you are based in the UK we'd welcome your application. There will be times when we bring the whole team together at our HQ in Edinburgh and would expect you to travel to those.

Interview Process
Candidates that are invited for interview will have a choice of in-person or remote interview formats and any other support required. We will reimburse Travel Expenses for interviews if required.

- As a team we test and choose our digital tools based on digital accessibility but are always happy to find new ways to work.
- Reasonable support and adjustments will be made to cater for specific needs and requirements ensuring there are no barriers to employment. This includes support with a claim to Access to Work.
- Where agreed travel, accommodation or subsistence expenses are incurred, we have made provision for Carer / PA expenses.
