Photo of Ambassadors in Edinburgh.

The Royal Mile, a historic street tracing the flow of volcanic rock between Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace, is uniquely Scottish with its bagpipe buskers, hidden streets, and tartaned shopfronts. How accessible can this ancient street be? With its maze of closes, cobbled roads and crowds of tourists making their way through Edinburgh’s Old Town, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the Royal Mile was entirely inaccessible.

Thankfully, Euan’s Guide Ambassadors set off to explore the top of this famous street, and they uncovered accessible attractions, cosy coffee shops and tasty scones along the way! Look out for new reviews of Royal Mile locations appearing on Euan’s Guide soon!
