For the first time since opening, Bethlem Museum of the Mind will be offering audio described tours and picture descriptions for blind and partially sighted visitors.
At 10.45 and 12.00 we will be holding guided tours of the museum by our experienced audio describer Caroline Smith, followed by a cup of tea and a chance to answer questions and feedback. The free tours will last approximately 45 minutes including time for tea.
At 14.00 Caroline will be leading an audio description of artist Richard Dadd's work, "Crazy Jane." Featured in our permanent museum display, find out more about the former Bethlem resident and his beautiful watercolours. This is a free event that will last approximately one hour, including time for questions.
For both events, please meet at the museum reception desk. A volunteer will guide you to the starting point. Booking is recommended for all events - please phone 020 3228 4227 or visit our eventbrite page to book direct:https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/bethlem-museum-of-the-mind-2703221010
