Wonderful experience

This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Wheelchair, Mobility Scooter

I (in wheelchair) went with my husband (able-bodied) to the 3 hour 'Infusions Experience', which included a tour of the distillery, the greenhouses, a short film, and a comparative tasting of 2 gins with a hands-on class on how to make three gin cocktails. Lots to drink and enjoy. Everywhere was wheelchair accessible. I paid for the Experience, and my husband came free as my carer. As he was driving, he was not able to try the gin. If the carer wishes to drink, I think they need to pay. There is a cafe, a bar, and a shop - all accessible

Transport & Parking

We drove. Disabled car parks right by entrance.

Everywhere wheelchair accessible. Some very low ridges in doorways, but easily navigable. Lifts where necessary, and a staff member would always appear to show you where to go before you felt the need to ask. In the film room, there was at least one space for a wheelchair next to a table. A number of the doorways had push-buttons to open

2 disable accessible toilets (one at reception) with grab rails on both sides, and sufficient room to manoeuvre and for carer. Very clean and tidy

All staff very welcoming and helpful. All seemed trained to assist disabled visitors. When one accessible toilet was occupied, staff quickly directed me to an alternative. There is a 1/2 hour break in the middle of the experience, when you can order something to eat from the cafe. I ordered a sandwich, but didn't have time to eat it as took too long in toilet. So the server kept it for me until after the experience was finished.

Accessible greenhouses containing examples of the botanicals used in the gins Room where you could look at, sniff and taste some of the botanicals used in the gins Two of the smaller stills used to create Bombay Sapphire gin. We went into the room to see them more clearly, but could not take photos in there due to danger of explosions from sparks. This photo was taken through a glass wall. Individual cocktail making position. My husband had to create (but unfortunately for him, not drink) each of the cocktails as I couldn't manage - this was my personal problem, not the set up design. A bramble gin cocktail with egg white foam - very nice!
