Excellent
Galashiels station has regular direct trains to Edinburgh Waverley Station in one direction and in the opposite direction it is one more stop to Tweedbank which is the end of the line. This is a small, step free station served by one platform, so trains depart from it go in both directions, so check it is the train you want to board. Immediately across the road is the Galashiels Transport Interchange, which offers a bus station, accessible and a Changing Places toilet plus a cafe and information desk. The train station is in the town centre.
Disabled Access In and Around

This is a modern, small station. There is a single platform and at the end of which is a permanent ramp with handrails both sides. At the end of the ramp you arrive at the road crossing and immediately on the opposite side is the Galashiels Transport Interchange, which is step free.
Parking & Transport
Excellent
The station has regular trains to Edinburgh and is next to the interchange which is served by buses that run all over the Borders.

Accessible and a Changing Places toilet in adjacent Galashiels Transport Interchange. RADAR key required.
Staff
Excellent
The station is unmanned. However, the guard aboard the train assisted me off the train. She informed me she was going to help me when she came to check the tickets.
Additional Information
The station and interchange are newly built and very accessible. Made travelling to the Borders very do-able by public transport.
