Overview

The accessibility is overall good. There is enough room for a powerchair pr scooter to get through the door and move around inside to a table. The accessible bathroom is big but the staff have made it inaccessible by putting an IKEA changing table in the doorway. It is freestanding so you could ask them to move it if needed. The food is very nice. It is also affordable and there are lots of menu options to make your visit in cheaper such as all you can eat. If you are doing an all you can eat deal have a look at both menus as they both have different foods on. The slightly more expensive one has more choice and has bigger portions. If you do all you can eat or any of the X number of dishes for a set price then all of your party have to choose the same deal. This is so the people you are with dont choose one dish each for £3 and then take advantage of one person paying for all you can eat. The decor is very tired with blocks of old tiles propping open doorways and a broken fan stuck on a shelf. It can be a bit depressing if the restaurant is empty and therefore not lively. It is very clean and you can see right into the kitchen which I like. I've never had a bad experience regards to cleanliness or food handling. I did once order olives which are always pitted but recently they have stones twice in a row so I would be careful for bones and stones if you are at risk of choking. I live locally and pretty much every time I have been there is at least one wheelchair user as it's the only local place that is fully accessible as far as I know. It's also great for lots of food on a budget. Unfortunately the only vegan options are Greek salad, hold the feta, or hummus and bread. I recently developed lactose intolerance and won't be able to visit so bear this in mind. There are quite a few options for vegetarians who eat cheese though.

Transport & Parking

4

I didn't see a specific car park but there is on street parking a few streets away and also a big car park behind the sainsburys about 5 minutes walk away (across flat ground). I don't drive but I use a powerchair and it is very easy to get to from Horwich town centre. If I was getting the bus I would get the 125 from Bolton or Chorley as it stops right outside. It's quite far from any train station if walking and disabled but Blackrod is the closest.

Access

4.5

The rest of the restaurant is great for access and the waiting staff let me sit wherever I want and store my powerchair.

Toilets

2.5

The loo is big enough for a powerchair however the changing table in the way lets down their accessibility. I'm sure they would move it if asked but I haven't had chance.

Staff

The staff seem to be temporary students or at least they change staff a lot. The waiting staff are so helpful and nice. They always seem to know when you've finished and want to order more food. The manager is helpful and sometimes does waiting. I was a bit annoyed once as I took my children before 5pm when it's meant to be free for kids to eat. I asked for my bill at ten to five and she brought it over after 5pm and charged me for them even though the restaurant was empty so I dont know what the delay was. Usually when we ask for the bill it arrives within 30 seconds. I asked the waiting staff if they recieve 100% of their tips and they do but most of them decline tips.
