Overview
Great walk with excellent views. There are ancient stones to see near the top and a hill fort (the latter needs a small detour over rough uneven grass). Many benches at regular intervals for picnics etc. there's an incline and a rough surface though so you will need a strong wheelchair or powered scooter.
Transport & Parking
The car park is rough but reasonably level. The trail starts right from the car park.it doesn't appear to get busy though it's quite small.
Access
We parked at the official NT car park in Strawberry Lane, about 200 yards north of the junction with B3399. The car park is free, surface rough (it's a remote country site). The path is a rough stony, compacted trail, quite wide. It climbs gently enough for my wheelchair trike to cope with but you would need a robust set of wheels to cope with the gradient and terrain (I have a battery operated Team Hybrid Viper wheelchair trike). A few sections get a bit steeper and it levels off at the top. There's one gate which is easy to open with help and nice and wide. We went to just beyond the Long Stones and back. I've given this a high rating as it is great to be able to access somewhere so wild under my own steam!
Toilets
No loos! However there's an accessible loo at the nearby Sun Inn at Hulverstone (5 mins drive, see my separate review).

Anything else you wish to tell us?
This trail has spectacular views (though on the day in question there was a heavy mist so photos not too impressive). Wonderful primroses, bluebells and birds. If you have robust wheels and battery power or very strong arms, well worth checking this out. It took about an hour and a half plus to the top of the hill and back. Though the outbound journey was all uphill, I only needed one swift push- I managed (or rather my electric wheelchair trike managed) everything independently.
