Overview
Easily accessed via a gentle ramp to the side, it was comfortable inside with a variety of seating options. Plenty of room to manoeuvre inside with smooth wooden floors. Fantastic accessible toilet near to side door. Good food, very pleasant interior ( looked newly refurbished?)
Transport & Parking
No disabled parking space as far as we could see but parking seemed plentiful in their car park and we parked right by the ramped entrance. There are buses (the pub had an information folder inside with timetables for buses from major towns nearby).
Access
Ramp from car par was gentle and had a handrail. Small threshold to negotiate but basically level access throughout. Smooth floors and plenty of room to manoeuvre a wheelchair. Floor in corridor to loo looked non slip. No signage to ramp but not neded as easily visible.
Toilets
Accessible loo wasn't separately signed - it just said Toilets. But that's fine - I look forward to the time when all loos include an accessible one automatically! This one had all necessary grab rails and alarm cord. Really smart and clean.
Staff
Staff were pleasant and helpful. I didn't need anything but I'm sure they would have obliged.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Good food, not too expensive. Very stylish inside. Near to Tees Railway Walk (see my other review) and a great lunchtime stop. We will return!
