Great access, range of eating places, cinema and casino.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
Lifts are located on each floor and only a short walk away from the car parking spaces. Both lifts lead you on to each floor (3) of the gate building. There are also escalators on each floor. All restaurants and services are easily accessed by wheelchair.
Parking & Transport
Good
Parking in 'The Gate' car park located underground. Access from china town. A storied car park with plenty disabled car parking spaces. However this car park is popular and is usually very busy, especially on weekends. There are public buses directly outside the gate entrance and run regularly. However, i would not recommend the metro system as the stations are quite a walk from the gate.
Accessible Toilets
Good
Public and disabled toilets are located on each floor. They are easily accessible and are generous in size. All disabled toilets are equipped with grab rails and the sink is positioned at a suitable height.
Staff
Good
Staff are friendly and willing to help. However there is a lack of staff, which lead us asking staff in restaurants.
Additional Information
I would definitely recommend the gate as it has a wide range of eating places, including; buffets, nandos and pizza hut! There is also a empire cinema which is easily accessible on the top floor. Northumberland street and Eldon square is a short walk away from the gate.
