Overview

The Maltings Theatre and Cinema is situated in the centre of Berwick upon Tweed and provides entertainment for all ages. It has been well adapted so that it is accessible to all. The friendly staff offer help and advice to those who may require it.

Transport & Parking

The car park is situated immediately outside the Maltings entrance. There are 44 spaces, 8 of which are for the use of disabled badge holders. The car park is situated within easy access of the town's main street.

Access

There are steps leading up to the entrance of the Maltings, however disabled access has been provided by means of a ramp from the car park and an automatic door. The theatres and other facilities are spread over several floors but a lift gives easy access to them all. In the main house theatre there are a number of wheelchair spaces which are to be booked in advance.

Toilets

There is a disabled toilet available at the Maltings accessed via the lift.

Staff

The staff are very approachable, friendly and helpful. They offer assistance as and when required and are located throughout the venue.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

The Maltings caters for the hard of hearing by providing infrared hearing support as well as subtitled screenings on certain showings. They also adapt certain screenings to make them autism friendly.
