Overview

The Regal is centrally located in Cambridge and has good access via a gently sloping entrance. As with many places, you might have trouble opening the main doors, but they're not as bad as some I've come across. Inside the pub it's quite dimly lit, so you might have some problems if you have vision impairments. Some of the floor is carpet, some is wood. The bar is a bit high up for wheelchair users. You have a choice of seating, either in the main section of the pub where there are sofas, tables and armchairs, or via a disabled lift to an area with wooden tables and chairs. The wooden chairs can be easily moved to make room for a wheelchair, but it might be more difficult to move the armchairs.

Toilets

The disabled toilet is a bit strange - you go through a lobby to it. I waited outside for quite a while before realising the door led to the lobby and not the main toilet! Bar staff have a radar key for it. Inside it's a little bit small, but nicely done and very clean.

Staff

Staff are generally very helpful towards disabled people, but can be quite busy, so if you want help, you might have to wait a while at the bar. Alternatively, ask one of the waiters/waitresses who are serving food at the tables.
