Euan MacDonald, the co-founder of Euan’s Guide and the Euan MacDonald Centre for motor neurone disease (MND) research, has been featured on the list of the 100 most influential disabled people in the UK again this year!

The announcement was made at a reception at the House of Lords this afternoon (Tuesday 8th October). Euan’s Guide’s Managing Director, Antonia Lee-Bapty attended the event and said “I’m delighted to see Euan recognised once again for his role at the Euan MacDonald Centre and Euan’s Guide. Here at Euan’s Guide we’re committed to making it easier for disabled people to find great places to go. It was wonderful to discover more about the numerous other accomplished and driven people on the list.”

Euan said: “While I’m delighted to be featured on this list, it is really everyone who has reviewed on Euan’s Guide or who is involved with the research into MND who deserves this award. It is only by working together that we are able to help others.”

Euan’s Guide now has thousands of disabled access reviews for places across the UK and beyond. New reviews are being added to the website all the time by disabled people, their family, friends and carers.

Euan earned his spot on the list thanks to public nominations. It is then the role of an independent judging panel to then select the Shaw Trust Disability Power List 100 from the nominations. This year the independent judging panel was chaired by Kate Nash OBE. Kate is the world's leading authority in 'Networkology' - the science behind the growth of workplace networks and resource groups. In 2007 she was awarded an OBE for services to disabled people. In 2013 she was appointed Ambassador to Disability Rights UK.
