Feedback on our Face Mask Exempt Badges
There has been a huge demand for our Face Mask Exempt badges since we started sending them out in June. To date, we’ve sent out well over 17,000 badges with many thousands of people downloading and using our printable resources.
Now we are asking disabled people who have requested and received a Face Mask Exempt Badge from us to take part in a survey to help us collect your feedback.
We’ve tried to keep the survey short so it should take less than 10 minutes to complete online.

Follow Government Guidelines
While Governments have published guidelines stating the need for masks and setting out the situations where masks are to be worn and what exemptions apply, we are still hearing of situations where people who are exempt under the guidelines are being turned away or mistreated. We advocate for the use of face coverings and do ask everyone who can wear a face covering to wear one. Equally, we want to do all that we can to make the situation easier for disabled people who are exempt from wearing a mask according to Government guidelines. That is why we started offering our Face Mask Exempt badges, they are designed to make the wearer feel more comfortable to visit places where the majority of people will be wearing face coverings. We hope that the badge has helped the wearer avoid unnecessary questioning and harassment and that our actions have also helped raise awareness of the exemptions set out by the Government.
