Helping disabled people move to electric vehicles

We really enjoyed being interviewed for the latest episode of The Scotman’s Sustainable Scotland podcast, which has been produced in partnership with Motability Operations, the company that runs the Motability car, powered wheelchair and scooter scheme.

We were in conversation with the CEO of Motability Operations, Andrew Miller. The episode covers the inevitable move to electric vehicles, and the growing concern that ensues for many disabled people now that a UK-wide ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars is scheduled for 2030.

You might already know that we work with Motability Operations each year on our Access Survey, so it was great to hear more about what they are doing for disabled people.

Motability Operations works with disabled people, car manufacturers and other stakeholders to try and manage the change for their customers from petrol / diesel to electric cars in the most supportive way possible. The Sustainable Scotland podcast explores the challenges and opportunities around this, as well as other important topics around sustainability.
