What is Giving Tuesday?

You’ve probably heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but have you heard of #GivingTuesday? It’s one of the biggest days in the global charity calendar, and it’s even broken Guinness World Records for online giving!

The story

Giving Tuesday first started in America and was introduced to the UK by The Charities Aid Foundation in 2014 as “an antidote to the mass consumerism of Black Friday”. Powered by social media, the event was the top Twitter trend on November 29th last year, and it now takes place in more than 70 countries around the world. It’s an incredible way to kick-start the charitable season!

How can you help Euan’s Guide on Giving Tuesday?

This year we’re joining the movement as a charity and we need our supporters, old and new, to get involved!

As a digital charity, donations help us to continue providing our service at no charge to disabled people, their families and friends. They also help us to support our team of staff and volunteers, distribute our popular #RedCordCards, and make the Euan’s Guide website even better.

A Giving Tuesday donation doesn’t have to be big, but if you manage to save a few pounds shopping on Black Friday we’d really appreciate your support this year. Whether it’s £5, £10 or more, you’ll be helping us to fund everything that keeps Euan’s Guide and disabled access reviews growing!

I’d like to make a donation to Euan’s Guide.

What can I do instead?

If you don’t want to donate, you can help us raise money as you shop on your favourite websites. Or, you can turn unused Nectar points into donations! Find out more >>

Thank you!

If you can help us this #GivingTuesday, please tell your friends! The more people who know about our cause, the easier it will be for us to keep sharing disabled access reviews! Download our supporter picture to use on social media next Tuesday and tag us on Twitter using @EuansGuide.
