Bancroft Mill Engine Museum

Gillians Lane, Barnoldswick, BB18 5QR, United Kingdom | 0770 767 0177 | Website

Venue Description

Bancroft Mill houses the largest steam mill engine in Lancashire. It is in the mill for which it was constructed and is unique. The former cotton mill is now a museum open to the public on a number of days per year when the engine and steam plant are run. For steaming dates see http://www.bancroftmill.org.uk/ There is a second, also unique, engine which was salvaged from a closed mill and which also runs. Visitor can start the engines under supervision and receive a certificate for doing so.
