Venue Description

Eight easily bookable rooms at Barnstaple Library offer the perfect spaces for meetings and work. They range from a cosy meeting 'pod' to a large room suitable for a conference or training. Projector and screen and flipchart are available in some rooms, and there's free WiFi throughout the building. Printing, copying and scanning facilities are also available on-site. Barnstaple Library is a friendly and vibrant space, open six days a week. It also incorporates the Local Studies Library, and Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC) for business support. The Library boasts a large selection of books and audiobooks and a reserve stack of approximately 28,000 items which are available on request. On Friday mornings during term time, there's a fabulous pop-up café run by students from Pathfield School, serving a selection of drinks and delicious homemade cakes. Accessibility

There is wheelchair access throughout the library, with wide aisles and corridors. Staff are on hand to help during opening hours. All have knowledge of the facilities on-site to help people with disabilities.

Our toilets are accessible by radar key. They are situated on the ground, first and second floors.

Staff

Staff are on duty during opening hours. Some have been trained to be neurodiversity-supportive and Alzheimer's-aware, and all have good understanding of the facilities to help people with disabilities on-site.
