Venue Description

The Bruce Trust has four specially-designed, purpose-built, wide-beam canal boats for hire for disabled, disadvantaged or elderly people. They all have wide-access aluminium boarding ramps, hydraulic lifts, wet rooms with specially-fitted showers and loos and two of the boats have a remote steering device enabling anyone with limited upper body movement to enjoy the experience of steering one of these 60 feet long boats.

All areas of the boats are accessible.

Toilets

Each boat has a wet room with an accessible loo, shower and sink. There are plenty of changing places available on the boats.

Staff

The Bruce Trust has one paid member of staff and then a team of volunteers to help maintain the boats. They are all friendly, encouraging and helpful.
