Venue Description

6 Bedroom holiday let with 3 ground floor rooms,,,,two of which are detached ensuite with wet rooms. 1883 full of character situated in rural location in a fold of the Ffestiniog steam railway ( Tanygrasiau station 200m, walking stick access. Full dis access 1m at Blaenau ffestiniog station.) I had daughter using a chair for years and I was Head of dept at disabled school 7 years. We are tiny and NOT suitable for self powered chairs but full of ideas / possibilities for others. IE drive on beaches with no lifts no far away. etc We run only on renewable energy but with refinement. Cosy rooms, warm rooms with sheep wool insulation and turf roofs, 3 working electric car chargers for over 11 years, £20k of computer integrated biomass and solar panels. We do cosy and warm with wi-fi. Won many national eco awards. Gwynedd renewable energy project, Gold GTBS twice,, trip Advisor green Leader Platinium, Considerate Hotelier Green team ( beat Best western and this award was won by Savoy hotel in 2013), AND. we are rare CERTIFIED CARBON NEGATIVE BUSINESS.

Accessibility

All disability is different .....talk to us 01766 831356 We have 6 ensuite rooms. We are NOT suitable for self powered chair, parts are too steep / traveled GOOD news. My daughter spent year in a chair and I spent over 7 years as Head of dept at Disabled school so we know what IS acheivable. First hand knowledge is key. We have 3 ground floor rooms,,,,two are wet rooms ( no hoists) dead level Some ramps are too steep to be certified but 20stone chair user with care have coped. Talk to us

We are 3 star Visit Wales holiday let but great knowledge of the area and what is possible depending on needs. Ie....... drive on beaches ( no hoists) ........to international theatres with all the disabled compliance, steam trains with disabled access etc

Toilets

WE are 3 star guesthouse with loos in all rooms. They do not comply with alarms etc but we have a mix of fixed and drop down rails and two wet rooms. Talk to us 01766 831356

Staff

All staff qualified teachers with decades of experience with first aid John.... over 7 years as teacher/ Head of dept / senior manager at several school with mix of PMLD and other disabilities. BSL1 and Maketon very rusty. 80% of Oxford degree in care and education of special needs. Only the two of us but very human Wi fi in most rooms..... well behaved dogs welcome in two rooms
