Bad
Lovely food, drinks, ambience and staff; just not good enough on the access front.
Disabled Access In and Around
Bad
There is level access from the pavement but you need to pull/push the heavy door. Once inside there are tables on the lower level and that is also where the food is displayed. The counter is very high. To get to the loo and the rest of the cafe you have to be able to climb a step.
Parking & Transport
Bad
There is no disabled parking. There is no car park. It is very difficult to find a parking space in this area. There are bus stops nearby if you can use the bus or you can be dropped off by taxi.
Accessible Toilets
Bad
No problem with the loo itself but it is reached via a step. No ramp. Plenty of room inside.
Staff
Excellent
I was very hot and felt unwell. I explained I would love a banana milk shake without ice cream. The assistant blended a banana with cold mil. It filled a pint glass and only cost £1.60. She was lovely. So was her colleague who was just as annoyed as I was that there was no ramp up to the loo.
Additional Information
I love this cafe and go here often. I can stand up and walk a little so it's fine for me. No use for anyone who is confined to a wheelchair, though.
