Overview

If you're keen to attend a Dundee F.C. home game yet you have a disability, fear not as the clubs friendly staff and reasonable accessibility will ensure that your trip goes without a hitch! Sure, access might not be as brilliant as you'll find in other areas of the city, but with the stadium being over 100 years old, the reasons why are understandable. Still, upon my visit to the ground I found everything I needed to make my life as problem-free as possible - with level access entrances at both the home fans end and the away fans end, and accessible toilets too. As previously mentioned, there's always staff members on hand to help with any issues that you may have - and this is true none more so than on match days!

Transport & Parking

2.5

Unfortunately there is no parking provided at the football ground, and so fans who wish to arrive by car must find on-street parking nearby. There is, however, an accessible bus that runs from Dundee City Centre up to the ground - perfect for any disabled fans looking to head in via public transportation.

Access

4

Whilst not all areas of the ground are accessible, there's plenty of access for those attending a match day. With ramps, level access entrances and an accessible toilet all in place, as well as pitch-side seating for those with a wheelchair. For those wishing to attend a tour of the grounds - some areas of the tour would be unreachable for those with greater mobility needs, but providing the tour is booked well in advance, a tailor-made tour may be possible, with focus given to the history of the club as well as being shown around some key areas which are accessible (i.e. players dressing rooms, accessing pitch-side and the Gilzean Lounge).

Toilets

4

The disabled toilets were fairly standard, and much like what you'll find at most other sports venues around the country (see pic).

Staff

Staff were incredibly helpful and kind - will go above and beyond to make sure your visit is seamless and enjoyable.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Even though the access on a tour is more restricted, visiting Dundee F.C. and Dens Park is more than possible for anyone with reduced mobility - especially if you're wanting to watch a live football match. Dens Park is a must see place in Dundee, particularly if you like experiences that a little bit different from the norm and are fascinated by the history and culture of a city.

Accessible seating at various spots around the ground, with fantastic views of the pitch! The Gilzean Lounge has reasonably good access, and can be viewed as part of the tour - or upon invitation on match days. Dens Park, Dundee One of the ramps within the ground. Accessible Toilet
