Overview

Level access fast food building with some table and chairs inside selling TGI Friday's food that is usually sold in TGI Friday's restaurants. Food is delicious and I would say is reasonable priced.

Transport & Parking

5

There is no parking specifically for Fridays and Go, but this venue is located in the city center of Dundee so there are lots of parking nearby including council parking where blue badge holders can park for free. There are also buses that come from different ares of Dundee and the train station is around a 10/15 minute walk away.

Access

5

There is a ramped entrance to get into Fridays and Go. This is a ramp that has been built within the pavement and doorway using slabs so the ramp is always there. I think you have to manually open the door to enter but it was open when I visited, it is a double doors to enter the venue. You can order your food on a standing screen that is located at the entrance to the venue. I feel these are quite high though to reach if you are sitting in a wheelchair and I didn't see an accessible options. I think you can also order your food at the counter and this is also where you collect your food when your number gets called. The counter I would say is at a good height, you can see it in an image below. There isn't much seating available here as it is more of a takeaway venue but when I visited it was quite quiet and there was plenty of seating available. Tables were also at a great height for me sitting in my wheelchair. At the front of the venue in the window area there is a high table looking out on to the street with a few high stools.

Toilets

5

There was an accessible toilet at the back of the venue, when I went to have a look at it there wasn't anyone else at the tables so I was able to get past them but I think even if people were at the table I think I would have still gotten past. I'd say the accessible toilet was spacious enough for a wheelchair user to get help from someone but it is quite narrow meaning you'd only be able to transfer from the right-hand side of the toilet. The emergency red cord was hanging freely, there were grab rails and I'd say the sink is at a good height. You can see a picture of the accessible toilet below.

Staff

5

I didn't interact with any staff members as my carer went up to collect our food but when looking around I could see staff were friendly and welcoming. They were very quick at cleaning tables and emptying bins when they just got full.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

The venue looked clean when I visited and I noticed there was a hand sanitising station at the entrance to the venue as well as all the staff doors and where the toilets are located.
