Overview

I take my mobility assistance dog to see Amy and Rebecca every 4 weeks. He does a mix of swimming in the hydrotherapy pool and water treadmill. There is a carpark just outside which always has spaces. There is a step to access the buildings but they have ramps available if needed and can open both doors to give better access. There is seating and a table inside. At the end of the pool there is a viewing platform which is accessible via a wide ramp. There is also a screen on the wall that shows what is happening under the water. You are encouraged to be interactive during the sessions and be involved. They wash and dry your dog after the session before handing them back and the shampoo smells amazing. A wonderful service by some truly amazing people. They all genuinely care about their work and their furry clients, and want to help them live happy healthy lives! Really love watching my dog have his hydrotherapy sessions and I look forward to them as much as he does!

Transport & Parking

4.5

H2o has a carpark. It’s flat and there is plenty of space for loading / unloading dogs and mobility aids. It can be muddy when wet.

Access

4.5

There is a step into the buildings. But they have ramps that can be put out if needed. I don’t think the doors are wider than a standard door so I’m not sure if a larger wheelchair could fit.

Amy and Rebecca are the most caring and kind people I have ever met. I fully trust them with my assistance dog in the pool. I know they love him as much as I do and they just want to make sure he has the best life. They have taught me that hydrotherapy isn’t just for dogs with injuries, it is great for all dogs (especially dogs with jobs) to keep them healthy and fit.

H2o canine hydrotherapy has a sign on their door from GuideDogsUK welcoming all assistance dogs.
