Aisle Barn

This is such a gem of a place. As the mum/carer of a wheelchair user, it is so nice to take a break in somewhere which has excellent facilities but which feels and looks like a home. Aisle barn is beautifully 'done' to high specifications - originally adapted and renovated for the owner's father, a wheelchair user, it has clever touches - lowered kitchen units and carefully positioned for ease of use white goods, a LOLA certified lifts takes you to the master bedroom (which has a with super-king sized bed and neat hoisting system) & accessible bathroom (which has an accessible flower AND a huge bath!), and the second guest bedroom also has its own en suite shower room. Aisle Barn has 2 lovely gardens and you can also visit the grounds of the main house and go down to the private lake (200m away) to fish if you so wish. There is separate (not wheelchair friendly) accommodation for 2-4 others to join you during your stay. The owners were really welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. This area of Somerset is quite quiet but definitely worth exploring. We visited some of the beautiful local towns, the Wellington Memorial and drove over Exmoor during our all-to-short stay. We will be back!
